Laser Skin Rejuvenation involves brief high energy laser pulses applied to the skin.
Our Q Switched laser causes a photoacoustic effect into the dermis of the skin, stimulating cells to produce more collagen. The photoacoustic shockwaves reorganise the skin’s collagen into parallel arrays of compact fibres, resulting in overall tightening of the skin.
The increased collagen production reduces the appearance of skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, acne scars, enlarged pores, and uneven skin tone. The face, neck, chest and hands are all treatable areas.
There is very little to no downtime, as it is a non-ablative procedure and is a superior solution to invasive surgical procedures.
Normal activities can be resumed immediately afterwards. Redness is likely to diminish in 1-2 hours and fine line reduction and skin tightening are likely to be noticeable 5-7 days post treatment. Other improvements in skin condition can be a gradual decrease in redness, broken capillaries, flushing, irregular pigmentation and pore size.
We recommend 4-6 treatments at 3- 4 weeks between each treatment.
Expected treatment time is 40 minutes. For larger areas, treatment times will be longer. A Nutraceutical Mask appropriate for your skin will be applied post laser. Other rejuvenating treatments at Renude Laser Clinic are Carbon Facials and Low Level Laser Therapy.
Side effects are rare.
Immediately following treatment, the skin may appear flushed, brown pigmented spots may temporarily darken, and capillaries may be more visible.
Temporary swelling and/or bruising can also occur. These symptoms generally disappear within a week.
